Nothing Beats a Family Swim in November!

We are a family who loves our water! We spend all winter long waiting for summer so we can play in our beloved water again. Lucky for us, the Clearfield Aquatic Center is a fabulous indoor pool we discovered a year ago and now we can swim anytime we want with just a quick ten minute drive! The boys LOVE it and it is great for all of us since the boys get to have fun and play and Ben and I get to relax while enjoying it right alongside them. Afterwards we always grab snacks and food because lets face it-water fun sure can build up an appetite. It has definitely jumped to the top of the list of our favorite family outings together!

Davis & Bott Party: Fun on the GIANT Slip N’ Slide!

Every Summer my Dad’s company hosts a family party that is water themed. Growing up it was always at the Brigham City Pool. A few years back they started boating at Willard Bay which took the fun to a whole new level! Well, they did it again. They switched it up once again and it definitely did not disappoint! This past year we all partied it up at a giant slip n’ slide in Cache Valley. Ben had to work unfortunately, but I took the boys and boy did we ever have an absolute blast!

I (finally) talked my Mom into going down the slide and she LOVED it! I knew she would! I was so proud! :)

My brave little boy! He went down all by himself successfully quite a few time but biffed it the last time I let him go by himself. He was still so brave and did not even cry! He is quite the little tough guy!

Jayden scored these glasses from the drawing! My family cleaned house! (except for me, of course…I have the worst luck ever when it comes to drawings).

My Mom, Jayden, and I biffed it our last ride down. In an effort to keep Jayden on the mat and me from running over him, I ended up skidding off the mat over the mud and rocks. OUCH! No dirt, no blood, no victory, right?

Oregon Coast Trip 2015: Our Incredible Whale Watching Expedition!

This was my FAVORITE part of the trip and that is saying something as this trip was absolutely AMAZING! We had such an AMAZING whale watching adventure! We saw a Humpback Whale and then three Gray Whales that were super close to our boat! These pictures do not do justice to what it was like to experience this, but I am glad I got a few to remember this incredible adventure by.

They got SO close to the boat that even the tour guides got excited about it and said it is very rare to see them so up close and personal, and active! They were even playing and overlapping one another as they came up out of the water. Too bad I got so excited and busy watching in astonishment that I missed the photo op, but taking that moment in was worth it and something that I will never forget.

They got so close that you could see the spots on their backs. The photo on the right is of the tail as it was going back under the water. It seemed way closer and bigger and better in person!

The two Gray Whales followed the boat for quite a ways as we were on our way back to the docks. It was so cool watching them follow us, and getting to enjoy them as long as possible.
