March was a busy and fun month as we enjoyed some days off as a family with our last big outings as a family of three (humans-four if you include our furry pal Caleb), and lots of fun and excitement with family and friends outside our close knit little family of four (five). Here are some of those moments. Enjoy!
Movie slumber party in Mom and Dad’s bed while Daddy worked late on school. We sure miss Daddy when he is busy, but we make the most of it finding fun things to do just the two of us.
Caleb pals around with Daddy while he works on school…or sleeps.
Afternoon ice cream glory and shopping for Daddy for his birthday while he was busy taking a test.
Celebrating Daddy on his birthday! Jayden picked out this special gift for Daddy and said he was excited about it because Daddy was so nice and would share. Ha ha! But he really did put a lot of thought into it and knows that Daddy likes basketball. Daddy was almost as excited about his gift as Jayden was…almost. ;)
How cute are these two?!
Having a blast making Daddy’s birthday cake!
Our family night on the town to celebrate Ben’s birthday and Jayden’s first time going to the movie theater! We saw Big Hero 6 and LOVED it! Jayden raved and raved about the “way big awesome t.v.” It was so cute how excited he was about it.
Grabbing some food at Jayden’s favorite restaurant before the show, and having a little too much fun with the toys that came with his meal.
A few days later Jayden had some fun with my grandparents while Ben and I enjoyed a night to ourselves to continue his birthday week festivities. We went and saw the third movie of The Hobbit series.
Jayden was having a little too much fun with Grandma’s magnifying glass when we went to pick him up after the show.
How Jayden spends his days...never a dull moment around here.
This boy…kills me with his cuteness!
Jayden wanted to ride on his “lion king”, but figured out he was too big and decided to let him ride on him instead.
Daddy stayed home sick from church one Sunday and Jayden wanted me to draw a picture of us for him at church and gave it to Ben along with the dandelion he picked for him when we got home. Precious!
St. Patrick’s Day fun! Green hot chocolate and a green themed dinner consisting of pancakes and eggs (two of Jayden’s favorite foods).
Jayden loved his meal as did Ben and I even though we took a bit of a healthier route to celebrate the day.
While I was working on organizing the nursery, Jayden found all the books I have been collecting over the years that people have either given me or I found at the D.I. He was SO excited about them and the fact that he is now old enough to enjoy a larger variety of books other than the child proof cardboard ones.
Our first kite! We found it for a steal of a deal at Costco and I simply could not resist! Still waiting on strong enough wind to fly it in, but we are excited about it. As an added bonus the box it came in doubles as a cool tunnel for Jayden’s train sets.
Best of buds these two! We sure adore that Caleb of ours!
Mad Hatter Party themed Relief Society Dinner-too much fun! Seriously-the committee went all out! It was AMAZING!!!
Jayden had fun in the nursery and even bonded with a cute “Tristan baby” doll. He was pretty excited that Mommy saved her dessert for him and Daddy.
Daddy had the day off of work so we lounged, got Chinese, and went to the Treehouse before Daddy got ahead with school.
I spent a fun day going out to lunch and shopping with my Mom. I got Tristan this cute bear, and later that day after my doctor’s appointment, Ben and I went back to buy the only other one they had left so Jayden and Tristan could each have their own “buddy bears”. My Mom was awesome and watched Jayden for us who rode on the swing for his VERY first time! He had always been to scared so Mommy was very proud! Just look at that grin!
The deals/steals of the day!
Jayden sure loves when Daddy comes home! With a personal massage who can blame him?
Coloring eggs with Grandma and Mommy while Daddy was hard at work on school.
He likes eating them as much as he likes coloring them.
My cousin Kendra popped by during the egg dying party and we were excited to get some time with her as she came down for a visit from BYU-Idaho. Jayden adores her!
Jayden was more than happy to “help” her with her schoolwork.
I really enjoyed The Women’s General Conference with Kendra and my Grandma.
Jayden and I made a day out of having to take Daddy to work early so that we could have the car for a special appointment for Tristan. They were worried about the umbilical chord and the placenta, but luckily everything checked out okay! YAY! We enjoyed walks, the park, the backyard, and going to lunch at the dairy with them that day.
We celebrated the good news about Tristan with the first BBQ of the year together later that night!
YAY for new friends! My Mom met Julie and her sons Connor (2) and Camden (3 months) while watching Jayden during one of my appointments and our two families instantly bonded! We LOVE having such close and awesome new friends!!!
32 weeks pregnant!
Jayden has had horrible allergies and bad dreams, so he has spent several nights the past few months sleeping in our bed…with all of his buddies, of course. :)
It was a great month!
