We had a FABULOUS and busy Fourth of July! We enjoyed time with both sides of the family this year. We enjoyed the parade and time with Ben’s family in Honeyville and Jayden even got to ride in the parade on a fire truck. He was stoked! After the parade, we headed up to Huntsville for lunch, fun in the sun at the lake, time at the festival at the park, and of course ended the night with incredible fireworks. It was all about the fun and festive little H-villes of Utah.
I LOVE the fun that comes with this holiday, but on a deeper note, I am so grateful and proud to be a citizen in this great country. I have such a passion for this nation and the freedom and liberty it stands for. I will forever be grateful to all who have fought and who continue to fight for the liberties and freedoms my family and I get to enjoy. We especially missed and thought of my brother Casey as he is deployed serving out country for a year. We love and miss him SO much and are so proud of him!
Sparkler fun at home on the night of the third.
Helping Grandpa Ostler get ready for the Honeyville parade!
Jayden was excited about the baby horse and all the rocks lying around to collect.
Jayden was so excited when he saw the soldiers. He thought Casey was with them. He was pretty bummed and embarrassed when he found out that was not the case, but still mustered up the courage to give one of them knuckles.
This is my view of Jayden throughout the day. He always wants me to hold him.
Picking flowers for Mommy.
Since Ben’s parents were in charge of the parade, Jayden got to ride on a fire truck! He was SO excited!!!
Fun in Huntsville!
I think Ben enjoyed his day off work. Especially with the yummy food and naps under the shade trees.
Lindsay’s made and designed these shorts! Pretty impressive and festive!
Can you tell that Jayden was excited about his root beer? He LOVES the stuff!
Bubbles!
Ready for a fun ride in Uncle Brent’s golf cart!
We had a BLAST at the lake this year! Ben and I swam way out and it was so relaxing to just float and swim around. We even survived the vicious tiger muskies! Yay!
My Mom and sister Andrea are pretty talented when it comes to the hula-hoop!
Ben and I enjoyed the hypnotist show this year, while Jayden entertained himself with covering us in grass.
Jayden had fun playing at the park as usual.
Naomi pretending her veggie stick was a cigarette to fill the role in her new hat.
Excited for fireworks! We were right next to where they were lighting them, so we were right below them, so it was REALLY cool! Jayden was hilarious this year! Every time a firework would go off, he would bust out in the loudest squeals and giggles that pretty soon our entire large group was chuckling.
By the end of the day, everyone was pretty tuckered out.
It was definitely a day to honor our great nation and enjoy as a family.
