Day four we slept in-it was GLORIOUS! We spent a chill and fun morning at home and then went to I-hop for lunch, before heading the Hill Aerospace Museum. Jayden LOVED it! He is a little obsessed with airplanes these days so we knew he would enjoy it, and for the bargain price of free it was the perfect little destination for our day four of fun for the week! It was a special place and day. We are so deeply grateful for the blessing of living in this country, and for all those who sacrifice so very much to make it the land we love and to give us the freedoms we enjoy. We are thankful from the bottom of our hearts.
Jayden liked coloring and Ben made the mistake of telling him he did not need to worry about coloring in the lines and to just let his creative spirit go free…about two seconds later while we were busy ordering, his creative little spirit took him all the way to coloring on the window! It was definitely an embarrassing parent moment. We felt so bad. So did Jayden apparently, because he tried to clean it off with his napkin. I must admit that part was quite adorable.
Sword fighting with Daddy, and Jayden’s creative take on just how one is meant to drink their chocolate milk. Ha ha!
Both boys wanted a taste of the others plate of food.
Upon getting out of the car, he exclaimed “AIRPLANES!!!” He was SO excited!
Jayden was a little bummed that he could not go in the airplanes, but he still LOVED looking at everything!
Our little guy is a HUGE rock collector these days. Rocks, sticks, leaves-you name it! They are his special treasures, and I can’t help but remember how I loved collecting same things as a child. I still have some of them in my keepsake chest.
We really struggled to get him to look at the camera…can you tell he was pretty happy to cooperate? Ha ha!
It was a fun outing! We kept Friday and Saturday (our last tow days of fun) close, simple, and short due to my play performances. Stay tuned! Our day at the Union Station is up next! It is no secret our little man in also a big fan of those “choo choo trains”.
