After Ben and I went on a date one week, Jayden told us that he wanted to go on a date too. We decided that was fair enough, and we asked him where he wanted to go, figuring it would be the Tree House or Kangaroo Zoo or the park. “The Temple!” he exclaimed excitedly much to our surprise. It was so adorable and touching to us, and the next night we did just that. We enjoyed walking around the Temple and talking about how special it was. Jayden was SO happy and excited (if you can’t tell by his face in the pictures below) to be there.
Ben had the day off, so we took it easy and lounged and cuddled in our jammies before heading out to the temple for a family date night.
Love our forever family!
The moon was BEAUTIFUL that night!
Just look at that sweet face-I LOVE it!!! He LOVES to see the Temple!
Jayden got a big kick out of driving in the “big, long tunnel” a.k.a. the parking garage. It was so cute!
After our trip to the Temple grounds, we stopped by Piccolino’s Pizza (our favortite) for pizza and breadsticks and Wal-mart for ingredients for root beer floats (Ben and Jayden’s favorite ice cream treat) and took them home to enjoy while we watched Captain America (also Ben and Jayden’s favorite super hero movie) as a family. It was a great family date night!
Ben picked up an extra special surprise for Jayden while in the store (his favorite candy bar), and I think it is safe to say that Jayden was pretty excited about his special treat. He picked out his “yizard” (lizard) shirt (which is a hand-me-down from my brothers) because he says it makes him “awesome like uncle Nathan and Derek” to wear for our special date night. LOVE this boy!!!
Ben was well-dressed for the night’s festivities as well. I LOVE my Captain America! ;)
I am sure lucky to be surrounded by these incredible boys of mine!
