Every year my Mom hosts a Gingerbread (a.k.a. graham cracker) house making party at our house and every year it is a blast! This year was no different. The only thing that would have made it better is if Ben, Ryan, and Casey did not have to work, but we are sure grateful for those hard-working men of ours who sacrifice so much for us. We girl's stick together in our boys absence and it always makes things fun.
We kinda like babies around the Ahlstrom house. Oh you already knew? Did the 10 kids now having kids of their own give it away? Our little Jocie is just the cutest!
Jayden was a big fan of the fun flying toys that Santa brought his uncles!
While playing in Aunt Andrea’s room, Jayden saw that it was snowing outside and decided he just had to go out and play in it for a bit. Andrea and I obliged.
Love this handsome little camera ham of mine. He sure knows how to strike a pose.
He thought it was fun to kick snow at Andrea and get her to squeal.
I am blessed with some amazing sisters that are my best gal pals.

The gang opening the hats I made for them. I am happy and pleased to say that they were a hit!
Jocie was a bigger fan of eating the paper than opening the present. Silly girl!
Jayden scored big time with his presents with new clothes, books, and his favorite-a new toothbrush! He LOVES brushing his teeth!
Mommy and Daddy got pretty spoiled as well with a wall hanging, book, and a certificate for a nights stay at the Anniversary Inn!
We had delicious homemade soups and breadsticks for lunch, followed by a movie party watching Heaven is For Real before creating our gingerbread house masterpieces.
Jayden was excited to eat breadsticks and was the very first one to the table with his hands washed.
Jayden was such a good "helper" for Grandma, and by helper I mean he was really good at eating all the scrap pieces. Grandma said he was pretty good company though. I think Nathan was still a little more helpful with his efforts.
Derek is such a good uncle! Jocie and Jayden just love him! Just the other day while we were in the car Jayden exclaimed "I love Unco Derek! Derek is way nice! Derek love Jayden and Jayden loves Unco Derek too!" It was just out of the blue but oh-so-cute!

Jayden had fun decorating with eating all the candy.
Grandpa took over baby duty (his FAVORITE duty) while we decorated our houses. He is such a good Dad and Granddaddy that one.
