Jayden’s Birthday Week of Celebrating: Cake #1!

Since they brought back our favorite rainbow chip frosting, we decided to make a cake with it to welcome Jayden’s birthday week of celebrating. We went all out this year, mainly because he had been so good about adjusting to adding Tristan to our family, and we wanted to give him a whole week of it being all about him for a change. He had so much fun, which in turn meant Ben and I did as well.

We let him blow the candles out multiple times as we always do because it loves it and it is just so cute watching that excitement over and over again.

I still can’t believe our first baby is four! Where does the time go?! We LOVE you to the moon and back, buddy!

Peach Days Festivities of 2015!

Peach Days weekend was pretty crazy this year and it completely wore me out. Not only did Ben work the whole weekend again, but I had two kids this year and was babysitting my siblings for my parents. It was crazy. With the lack of sleep from a newer baby and my struggle with PPD it about did me in, but I survived and I still had some memorable and fun moments, and got LOTS of pictures (as always).

Ben and I hit the town before he headed home to be ready for work the next day and I went back to my parent’s to watch the kids. This would be our last date night for 5 months little did we know. So glad we seized the opportunity to get away before the craziness took hold.

Parade fun and craziness complete with a blowout, and all the kids water bottles leaking all over the bottom of the stroller, and soaking all the extra diapers and outfits…ha ha good times! No, but really. We still had a lot of fun-Jayden especially.

Grand Junction Colorado Trip: The Drive Home!

Our drive home took much longer than expected and not just because of our cute kiddos either this time around. We hit a massive stand still in the canyon just as we were about to get to Spanish Fork and ended up taking a LONG, exciting and adventurous detour through the mountains in an effort to keep Tristan asleep and Jayden entertained and it was a success in those aspects! Even if it did end up taking an hour longer than we planned on, who knows how long we would have been delayed with the crazy backed up traffic. I have pictures of our adventurous drive, but you will have to wait for my mobile pictures post to see those.

By the time we got down from the windy, dirt moutain road, it was quite late and we were famished! We ended up stopping at the I-Hop in Provo for some food and made it just in time to see some awesome fireworks going off at UVU.

It was an AWESOME trip, but we were pretty happy to be home and in our own beds. There really is no place like home!
