Luckily, I got to part two done a lot quicker than part one. So here it is! Officially my last huge picture post. From now on, I will be doing a mobile picture post every month which promises to be a lot smaller for you, and a lot less overwhelming and less time for me. Of course, due to having lost our camera charger on New Year’s Eve (We should probably give up the search and just buy a new one at this point), all of the pictures so far for 2014 have been taken with my phone. Now without further ado…I give you the last HUGE mobile picture post of this blog.
Homemade chocolate chip cookies and chicken noodle soup conference weekend.
Because what girl does not love candle-lit bubble baths and a good chick flick?
Marching to the beat of his own drum as usual.
This little guy is the “king” of sharing.
Date night!
I love this little ham…oh and gorgeous fall days-those too!
Getting ready for Halloween with cauldron peek-a-boo and creating the designs for the face painting booth I would be in charge of for the ward party.
Love my little family, and LOVE our new family pictures!!! There was no way to hang the frames on the wall, so I got creative with come bows. I really like how it all turned out.
Casey and Naomi surprised us by stopping by with McDonald’s one day for lunch! Thanks guys!
Love me a good sunset!
Silly faces and our awesome Halloween costumes!
We are big fans of lazy days at home in this house-especially when Daddy has the only car at work.
All decked out for the Ward Halloween parties! Sesame street characters for the family party and pirates for the adult party. We be pirates setting our sails in the Black Pearl (our black Chrysler Sebring’s name) to go to our ward Halloween Parrrty! Argh ye mateys Ahoy!
Boo! Late night E.R. visits! We had two in two weeks! I got a really bad UTI on the first weekend, and Jayden got a really bad infection on his poor little (although not so little that night) boy part. It was not a fun couple of weeks especially with no insurance, but wonderful friends and family made it better. Naomi was sweet and got me the things pictured below. LOVE her!
Watching Mommy clean-typical guy, and cuddling with Daddy.
E.R. trip #2. This guy thought it was all a party…other than the annoying ankle band of course.
My good friend Jessica and her hubby brought dinner and this gift basket and teddy bear over the day after our night spent in two emergency rooms. First at McKay Dee and then Primary Children’s-LONG night, but awesome friends like this tend to make it better.
Jayden LOVES his remote control truck and having friends over.
The Women’s conference weekend with my Mom and Hilary! I even won a prize (it was a cute scarf) for guessing a quote from Anne of Green Gables-one of my all-time favorite movies!
Oh the many poses of Jayden while watching movies!
Jayden loves bananas and his Uncle Casey and soon-to-be (in this pic at least) Aunt Naomi.
The day Jayden and I went and saved Grandpa and Grandma and their groceries when their card would not work. Jayden even scored a really cool Elmo out of it.
Lunch date with my Mom at the yummy Zupas!
Nothing beats bath time and time spent with cool crystal balls that light up.
Boy’s time and girl’s time!
A fun weekend in Logan!
One of our favorite winter treats! YUM!
Chilling and watching a movie on Mommy’s bed while she got ready for Naomi’s bridal shower.
Treats and time with family and friends!
We sure love our two sweet little boys. They are pretty fond of each other as well.
We were particularly blessed when we found this on our porch the week of Thanksgiving. Especially with the tightness the medical bills brought this month.
Jayden thought all the food was pretty neat,, but was definitely a bigger fan of the big box it came in.
While I fell asleep with my favorite little boy, Ben fell asleep with his favorite little boy book. ;)
We Ostler’s really like our down time and down time treats.
The night before we would be having house guests for a week, Ben and I were enjoying a movie and some ice cream. It was about twenty minutes into our date night at home, that we heard a loud thud above us, followed by scampering little feet along the upstairs hallway, a little body sliding down the stairs and then him running to us while exclaiming “I did it! I did it!” all excitedly! The smile quickly faded by a look of betrayal when he acknowledged us with our treats and movie while he was supposed to be in bed upstairs. Don’t worry-we shared.
About ten minutes later the movie was turned off, the date night post-poned, and about three hours later, the baby nursery was turned into a toddler’s room. The best part? All the toys cluttering up the living room were brought upstairs. It was poorly timed though and made for a long Thanksgiving Eve.
I am happy to report that he slept like a baby that first night and almost every night since.
Fun moments from our Thanksgiving at my parent’s.
Aren’t these little chairs cute? Jayden LOVED them!
We all LOVE our house at Christmas time!
Oh the joys of motherhood sometimes. These two messes happened within days of each other. My little sweetheart even kissed Mommy’s owie she got from the broken glass.
Fun with family the week of Thanksgiving.
Jayden was a big fan of his first Gingerbread man, and his new shoes. He kept saying “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” It was so cute!
The times are always fun whether at our house or family and friend’s homes.
Awe! Snuggles and lounge time!
Fun at the Primary Teacher Appreciation Dinner. We enjoyed the company and the yummy Maddox food, even if Jayden refused to stay in the provided nursery. Can you blame him? We even won a prize!
My crazy hubby taking the dog out in the snow-barefoot!
Movie party with Mommy! Complete with cookies and a picnic in the living room.
Playing in all of the snow before going to spin donuts as a family. We are the best parents and we are the worst parents…
Apparently, Jayden decided Mother Nature missed inside when she decided to make it snow. He remedied her mistake during his quiet time/nap time one day with baby powder. It took forever to clean up, so when the job was complete, Ben and I rewarded ourselves with some late night cookies and a movie.
Good thing he is so cute…even if he is obsessed with snow! Both the Mother nature made and the Jayden’s bedroom made.
Fun with my hair (this is rare when you are a Mommy, so I had to document). My up-do for Casey and Naomi’s wedding, and it straightened! It has been so long since I had done anything but a messy bun, it surprised me how long it had gotten.
Christmas time and shopping fun! Jayden loves his “fishies”!
Ben and I really wanted a movie date night at home, but Jayden did not want to go to bed, so we got creative and gave him a movie party of his own upstairs. He was pretty excited about it if you can’t tell.
Morning snuggles! The best hour of the day!
It snowed again, and as usual Jayden was very excited about it!
Jayden telling me he was “going bye bye like Mommy”. Ha ha! And the boys and I enjoying a movie party together. Jayden begged to have his high chair brought into the living room. Caleb and I were good with the couch.
Christmas goodness! The best part-we had one this year thanks to the money and note anonymously left on our front porch. We also finally got Jayden a stocking (other than his tiny first one). Jayden, Ben and I also enjoyed all the goodies he brought home from his clients. YUM!
I went upstairs to put Jayden down for a nap and came down to find that Caleb had taken my spot on the couch along with my blanket. It was so cute that I let him keep it. :)
Can’t watch a movie without a movie buddy! Jayden and I are unanimous on this one.
Jayden eating and playing in the snow during a trip to Costco. Cutest thing EVER!
Have I mentioned that Jayden LOVES wearing Daddy’s things?
Christmas shopping, making Caleb’s presents out of old belts from the D.I. (a buck a piece folks!), and making coordinating stockings for our family. I LOVE Christmas time!
Last minute outing (hence why Jayden and I are in our jammies) for pizza as a family with the Christmas gift money from a client after a long and tiring day with Jayden. Best ending for the day!
Jayden LOVED the Santa Claus on the roof!
One of mine and Jayden’s favorite daily activities? PILLOW FIGHTS!!! :)
Can you believe all the different copies of the instruction manual we got for our water filter pump from my parents? It came in ten different languages!
More treats from Daddy’s day of work. :)
Ahlstrom Family Christmas Party!
Playing with Daddy through the window. He was also VERY excited about Great Grandma’s BIG bath tub!
This little boy is so cute when he sleeps…so are all of his little sleepover buddies. Ha ha!
Chocolate and candles make this girl VERY happy!
Spud nut party with Grandma at Aunt Kayleen’s house!
Cheers to a VERY fun 2013!!! :)
