Our 5 Days of FUN: Day Three!!!

Day three was sure fun! We picked Jayden up from my parent’s house (and jumped on the trampoline a bit), grabbed some delicious donuts from Kent’s bakery, and headed to Hogle Zoo (finally!). On the drive down Ben said, “It feels good to be with Jayden. I feel complete again.” He continued to say, “I mean I enjoyed our time together just us, but I really like being all together as a family.” I could not agree more, folks! Time spent as a family is just the BEST!!!  Boy was that ever true this day. So much fun! Jayden and I sure LOVE those rare days spent with that awesome Daddy of ours!

Jayden went crazy for the little cake donuts with sprinkles.

We caught the elephant exhibit right at feeding/training time. It was SO cool!!!

Jayden was SO excited about riding the carousel! Ben and I even gave in and went back later for a second ride for him.

I just love the “Ummm….why are we putting our arms out like this. Mom?” look he is giving me.

I think Jayden loved the statues even more than the actual animals…:) He had to hug or kiss each and every one of them.

By far Jayden’s favorite animal was the monkeys. Good thing there were TONS of them! He talked about seeing them for days and still asks to go back.

The only thing better than going down a slide is having two cute girls greeting you at the bottom. ;)

Jayden told the otter to go down and swim in the water, and just as I was telling him the otter would not understand him, it swam under the water and Jayden exclaimed, “Good job! You did it! You did it!” It was so precious!

Because when you can’t hug the real cute otters, the statue ones have to do.

Mr. Tiger was playing shy, but that did not stop me from stealing some shots of my favorite zoo animal. Cheers to having a good zoom on our new camera!

Cheers to a big, strong Daddy to be able to lift the entire stroller so Jayden could see.

When I was little, I would always ask my parents to go to the “Lion Drinking Fountain Zoo”, so seeing my son playing on it was pretty special.

Check out my stud muffins and check out that zoom! We took this picture of the “This is the Place” Monument all the way from the south fence of the zoo. Pretty impressive.

Most memorable moment for our little family this trip was this cute, little monkey bonding with our cute, little monkey. The yellow monkey was all business with eating until Ben walked over with Jayden and then he dropped his food, and just stared at Jayden like this for several minutes. SO cute!

And if you are wondering if Jayden had a good day at the zoo, these pictures should tell you all you need to know. :)

Jayden became a big fan of the big water ball (hence all the pictures), just like his Daddy. So cute to see  Ben and his mini me playing with it together.

It was a successful day at the zoo! Jayden fell asleep pretty quickly on the drive home. Ben and I dropped him off at Grandma’s and hit up Chili’s for dinner and then went to a movie to end the night. You will have to wait to see our date pictures until I post the mobile pictures fro March though.
