Our second day there started out sunny and warm (even if you would not guess it based on the pictures below). We prepared for a long hike that morning and with planning on the warm weather to continue, we dressed light. Boy was I ever glad I am so obsessed with being prepared and always have extra things on hand, because the drive there took us higher and higher and higher until we were literally surrounded by the clouds, which brought with them some pretty cold and humid mist. Lucky for us, I had jackets and warm clothes stored in the trunk of the car-even in the summer. Whew! Our babies would have frozen without that stuff, but with having it all with us we were able to enjoy a beautiful hike through the clouds that day. Jayden was such a trooper for such a long and hard hike for a little guy! Tristan was in heaven (of course) with being surrounded by all the nature and could not get enough of it! We all had so much fun!
Tristan LOVED looking up at all of the trees! He was so good! The only noise he even made was when he would coo or squeal in delight every so often, other than at the end of the hours of hiking when he was understandably hungry, but that was just as we were getting back to the car-which worked out perfectly. Our boys have been great little travelers for our trips this past Summer!
Jayden really liked saying hi to all the nature and dogs along the trail.
It was BEAUTIFUL and my favorite hike of the trip-which is saying something with how gorgeous they all were.
Once we got back down below the clouds, we were back to warm and happy sunshine!
The hike tuckered our little guys right out and Ben and I enjoyed a quiet drive back into town.
