Back in the beginning of September, we took a trip to Grand Junction, Colorado to visit Ryan, Hilary, and Jocie. It worked out perfectly since it was Ben’s long weekend off of work with a holiday on Monday so Ben got to get away with us without missing any work, and my family just so happened to be visiting that weekend too. We all had such a fun, wonderful, adventurous, active, memorable, four days together, and it started with a hike through Devil’s Kitchen our first night there. We all got there in the early evening, so Ryan and Hilary served us dinner and then we all embarked upon this beautiful hike as the sunset and barely made it back to the car at dark. It was a great start to a wonderful trip enjoying God’s incredible earth!
Tristan began and ended the hike quite upset, but luckily thoroughly enjoyed the middle of it still! After eight long hours in the car though…who can blame him, right? He was cute for most of it and squealed and giggled as we hiked along. It was super adorable. Jayden enjoyed all of it and could not get enough of all the exploring. No surprise there. :)
