Last month was full of birthdays (Grandpa’s, Hilary’s and Kyle’s), General Conference (SO good!), family dinners/parties, getting to know Naomi even better, meeting her family, girl’s days for projects and lunches, date nights (I LOVE these!), trips to the Temple (I love these too!), family pictures, chilling and cuddle time at home, my first visit to the E.R. (So not fun or cool)!, and double dates (including pajama pizza and movie parties complete with homemade Oreos). It was a month of ups and downs, but also a month full of some very fun and good memories.
On Grandpa’s birthday, we took him a special gift-Hostess Twinkies and cupcakes!!
I think it is safe to say he was pretty excited about them.
Casey and Naomi came over to spend Conference Saturday with us. Naomi helped keep Jayden safe from the “scary” remote control car that Jayden got for his birthday from Jared. He is so scared of it, yet loves to have it out (just as long as he is safe up on the couch). I made homemade chicken noodle soup and chocolate chip cookies for us all to enjoy. (Don’t mind all the finger prints on the computer screen. I have a two-year old, and will leave it at that)
Casey and Naomi even brought their favorite nephew a banana.
Jayden LOVED Uncle Casey’s beanie. Casey almost did not get it back when it came time for him to leave.
Hilary and Grandpa’s birthday/meet-Naomi’s-family dinner at my parent’s house.
Jayden sure loves playing with his aunts and uncles. I think it is safe to say they feel the same way.
Naomi’s family is very musical and serenaded us. They are pretty good!
Happy Birthday Grandpa and Hilary! Hilary’s birthday dessert choice? Dirt cups!!! Love this girl!
Don’t you just love the look on Casey’s face as he watches and listens to Naomi play guitar? SO cute!!!
…although Jayden likes to give Casey a little competition.
Caleb in Daddy’s shirt. It was SO stinkin’ cute!
After a taste of Mommy’s chocolate shake, Jayden decided a cup of his own was in order.
Girl’s day to help my Mom clean out the storage room. We enjoyed a nice little lunch break at Hunan Village. YUM! Casey got off work early due to the rain and joined us.
I felt pretty accomplished when I was able to fix my parent’s computer (the one we sold to them, and if you know me succeeding at anything technical is HUGE!). I also found the journal my Mom kept when pregnant with me and when I was a baby, while I was cleaning out the storage room. It was pretty neat to read some of the pages.
Date night for $12! Zupas and The Wolverine at the dollar theater on buy one get on free for all government employees night. Working for the Post Office has its perks! We topped the night off with goodies from Farr’s which we took back to Grandma’s to enjoy with her and Jayden.
Jayden thought he was pretty silly when he would pour his water all over his head. Little goof!
Temple Night at the Brigham City Temple with Grandma!
More water mess-making fun (at least it is water). He sure thinks he is funny! Don’t mind he spaghetti o’s all over his little face, he had just finished his lunch.
Meet the treat Casey brought me! Mr. Jerusalem Cricket! Gross! Ha ha! Good thing he was only joking about this being my treat and actually brought me chocolate instead.
This little guy sure loves any time he can get cuddling with his Daddy….even when Daddy is fast asleep.
Jayden even grabbed his arm and put it around him.
Our new family pictures! This was a BIG deal to me since we never had the money to print ours out to put up last year.
Jayden sure LOVES those kiddie toys at Wal-mart!
Caleb really wanted some of Ben’s dinner one night.
Celebrating Kyle’s birthday at my parent’s.
This was the last time we saw Jared before he left on his mission. We sure miss this guy, but are SO proud of him!
After spending a week drinking Apple Cider Vinegar and taking all kinds of herbs and supplements to fight off my first UTI (trying to avoid a doctor since we were tight financially, and don’t have insurance), I ended up in the emergency room one night. It was not fun! Casey and Naomi were awesome and Casey took me to fill my prescription the next day (since the only car we had was with Ben at work), and not only paid for my prescription, but bought Jayden and I lunch while we waited for it to be filled! And that night when Naomi got off work, she brought me flowers and juice, and a beverage and dessert for dinner. I figure the least I could do was make Casey’s favorite homemade Chili and breadsticks and give them a nice candle-lit dinner date night (which Casey still snuck me ten dollars to help pay for it-stinker!). It all made for a really good day after a really terrible night! We sure love these two!
Jayden enjoying Casey’s “Donald Duck Sneeze” before helping us to blow out the candles.
Don’t you just love our ghetto movie set up since we could not get the t.v. to work?
We sure loved all the time we got to enjoy with family last month!
