Ahlstrom Family Dance Party!

My Mom is always trying to think of fun things to do together as a family for our get togethers. Last Fall she added a Lip Sync Party, and this Winter she added a family dance party complete with awards! She went all out and even bought black lights and made a disco ball for the event. Nathan got pretty into it as well with making a DJ station for him to run for the night as well as some decorations. It was SO cute!

We got all decked out in our workout clothes-themed ensemble complete with sweat bands before heading out.

Of course we had to wait until Jayden built the traditional, nightly train track with Daddy before we left.

We enjoyed a delicious taco dinner before dancing off all of the calories for three whole hours afterwards.

Jayden did not stop movin’ groovin’ and dancing for the entire duration of the party. It was so cute to watch how much fun he had with the event.

 

Jayden was VERY excited about the rewards ceremony. It was so cute to see how proud he was of his well-deserved award.

After the awards were presented, the dancing continued. You know…just for good measure.

Once Jayden finally tired of dancing he decided to make a train with all the kitchen furniture-naturally.

 

It was a BLAST!

The Treehouse Museum &The Beginning of a Weekly Tradition!

Wanting Jayden to get out and be more involved in life and learning, we invested in a Treehouse Museum Membership and it is one of the best things we have ever done! We live five minutes up the road, so it is pretty great! It would normally cost $17/ time for all of us to go one time, and now for $50 we have a year membership and have already used it four times in one month! SO worth the money and it is also a tax write off as it is a non-profit organization. Jayden LOVES all of the endless fun and learning activities, and honestly Ben and I have a blast every time we go too. My Mom used to take my siblings and me to the Treehouse back in the old Ogden Mall when we were little and I am loving sharing the tradition and memories with my own child and soon to be children in this new one they built at the Junction. We LOVE the Treehouse Museum!!!

Ben has had several days off the past month, which has made me grateful for savings and food storage, but we have loved taking advantage of the extra Daddy time.

Jayden’s favorite exhibit is the train one-go figure.

Jayden got excited about the babies in the hospital and insisted on holding, kissing, feeding, and tucking each and every one in. He is SO excited about Tristan and is going to be the BEST big brother out there!

Daddy took a special interest in this exhibit as well. Another plus to him being off work is lots of time for schoolwork and getting ahead. I am SO proud of him!!!

 

We were all pretty big fans of the music exhibit and spent a good chunk of time there.

As we were heading out they announced a special story/play activity for the children. We decided it was a must before heading out and I am so glad that we did. Jayden even got his first part on stage. I was so proud! He was the cutest little bunny rabbit ever!
