I am dividing our second anniversary into two separate posts, because with Ben’s crazy work schedule, we had to get a lot of less romantic business-stuff done before the romance, fun, and play took place. We had haircuts, doctor’s appointments, got an oil change and inspection for our car, got our licenses and plates renewed and re-registered with Utah, among other things. We did still make time for some fun throughout though. We had lunch at this super fancy restaurant-maybe you have heard of it-McDonald’s? ;) while we waited for the oil change and inspection to be done on the car, stopped for Slurpees between errands, and enjoyed dinner with my grandparents to celebrate and because they have always, and probably will always be our favorite people to double-date with. Pitching a tent in the living room (not an easy feat in such a small apartment, but it made for some good laughs and memories) and roasting hot dogs in our fireplace before enjoying a romantic comedy movie in the tent, were just the icing on the cake for the day. Considering we had spent so much money on the car, we improvised a “romantic getaway” with a campout in the living room and it could not have been more perfect if you ask me! The next day we hit up Hogle Zoo and the “This is the Place” Monument. Stay tuned, because those adventures are up next!

Sometimes, I am a little less than lady-like when it comes to food…sometimes.
Let's just say the DMV was frustrating-as always, of course-and leave it at that.

It took a while and some problem-solving, but we got there eventually and it was so worth it when we did!
We binged on junk food while watching a movie that night. The next morning, Ben even let me sleep in and made waffles (he makes them so yummy!) for breakfast.
It was a great precedent to the fun outings!
