We had SO much fun during these 3 days together! We were very grateful things worked out and we got to do everything we had planned to do despite everything that had happened. Thanks to terrific deals in the wonderful Happenings book, we were able to do several activities and enjoy lots of yummy places to eat at half price with buy one, get one free coupons!!! We stayed at Providence Inn, ate at the yummy firehouse pizza, enjoyed scrumptious complimentary breakfasts, tried out the delectable Beehive Grill, went bowling in Logan, went to a matinee at Walker Cinemas in Perry, ate at our favorite past time restaurant-Peach City, went to Crystal Hot Springs for some swimming, and topped it all off with a delicious dinner at Idle Isle Café (where I used to work in High School for my first job). It was SO much fun and with the bargains we had, we were able to do it all (7 meals at restaurants, 2 games of bowling each, a matinee, and swimming) for under $80! We also enjoyed a little bit of shopping for Ben at the Cache Valley Mall in Logan, since he was in dire need of some new clothes. It was such a great anniversary and also served as our last overnight getaway before baby Jayden came and we officially embarked on the crazy, but wonderful adventure of parenthood. I just love my man so much and it is so fun to celebrate that love each year for our anniversary together!
We were so excited to get away, and got right to relaxing and taking it easy the second we got to our room. It was so nice!
We stayed in the Victorian Room and LOVED it! I especially enjoyed the baths in the jetted tub (just luke warm due to the pregnancy, of course).
Ben even went out and got sparkling grape juice and some fruit late one night, so we could enjoy a mid-night snack. I stayed behind so we would not get locked out, since they had already locked all the doors for the night. It was so yummy! I absolutely LOVED fruit throughout this pregnancy more than anything else!
Ready for another day of fun together!
We had delicious raspberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast the morning before, but it was so good, we downed it before I could get a picture of the sweet masterpiece.
When we first got to Crystal Hot Springs, it was raining and lightning. So, we waited it out in the car while playing music, enjoying some munchies, and visiting while watching the rain until it cleared up, and we headed back in the water.
Since Crystal Hot Springs is just right up the road from Ben’s parents, we stopped by to say hi to his Dad who was working in the field, and to his family in the house, before heading to Idle Isle.
The Brigham Temple was coming along!
It was all so fun, and we were a little bit bummed to be going home, but boy do those three days bring some fun memories! I can’t believe this was two years ago now! Time sure flies when you are having fun!
