This Summer was SO much fun! It is also probably the first one I ever wished away, because I knew our baby was going to be arriving at the end of it. I don’t think I have ever wanted a summer to pass so quickly, both with the heat with being pregnant and uncomfortable and most importantly-finally getting to meet our sweet, little Jayden. The pregnancy got pretty rough at the end (rougher, I guess I should say), and the anxiety of him arriving safely was killing me. So, are you ready for one big, massive post? We had a blast being with friends and family and enjoying the last bit of life before children together with some babysitter less dates. This summer was full of doctor’s appointments, swollen ankles, contractions that started 6 weeks before I had Jayden, LOTS of watermelon and corn on the cob, baby showers (which will have a post all their own), the 4th of July celebration in Huntsville, Birthdays (including my own, but more about that in a later post), Ryan and Hilary’s wedding (which will also have a post of its own), the women’s expo’s with the girl’s, Peach Days and LOTS of other fun, of course.
Dinner with Ben and Camille and adorable little Mattix (who just made the wait for Jayden that much harder).
Because when it is FREE margarita Tuesday, how can you resist? Don’t worry their were virgin, but boy were they ever good!!!
Having fun on the 4th of July in Huntsville!
32 weeks!
I LOVE me some summer sky!
Dinner, baby gifts, and puppy love with Will and Janine! We LOVE these two and hate that they had to move to Oregon, but we definitely hope to visit some day!
Ben playing with Takota. We LOVED this dog!
Dinner at Ben and Camille’s!
The Brigham City Temple continued to come along. It was so beautiful to watch.
33 weeks!
Another fun sleepover in the living room!
We had fun with helping to throw a party for Ben’s Dad’s 80th Birthday!
34 weeks!
Poor Dad did not get the best present in the world when the door on their mini van fell off! Yes you read that right, it completely fell off, and the boys had to jimmy rig it so they could get home.
As we got closer to D-day, we made a little countdown to put on the fridge.
Date nights out to grab a bite to eat. Sometimes it worked with my picky pregnant belly, and sometimes it didn’t, but we always had fun out together!
We wanted to go out for a hot date on Labor Day to grab some Mexican. We found all the heat you could want right out our front door when the neighboring apartment to us caught fire and we got boxed in for an hour with 5 fire trucks. When we finally made it out, the much loved La Cacina was SO good and so worth having to wait!!!
This is what I managed to do to my toe on the day of Ryan and Hilary’s wedding when our dresser drawer broke and fell on it. Nothing a night of swimming with my babe could not cure. It did not fall off, but it did take over a year for the black to grow out.
All ready for a girl’s day at the Women’s Expo!!! It was SO much fun!!!
We girls all got our hair done! It was amazing! I love having other people play with my hair. It was so relaxing, and even better was how good it looked when it was done!
The kids had a blast!
The adults has fun too, although at almost 9 months pregnant, I sat out on the corset fun. I did get to have fun running into and catching up with Sarah Gwynn. It was so good to see her again!
We started off Peach Days with the traditional Peach City! It was a risk to go with my contractions, but my doctor went out of town, so I figured so could I.
We went to Kent’s (where I worked in High School) for munchies. I cheated a LOT with the diabetes that day…
We hit up a wedding while in town and saw a bunch of old friends. It was neat!
The John Schmidt concert was FABULOUS! I think Jayden enjoyed it too. He kicked to the beat of every single song. It was so fun!
The last thing on our baby list was to buy a car seat and stroller set, and at 38 weeks, I was about ready to pop! Our little Jayden arrived 6 days later. I am SO excited to post about his birth, but before that, The baby showers, my 24th birthday, and Ryan and Hilary’s wedding are up next!
