Our July was spent playing, swimming, re-arranging the house, looking for a better job for Ben, making Thai food with Casey, enjoying Girl’s Days and Nights, making new friends at church, hosting dinner and game nights with friends, celebrating Nathan’s birthday, playing at my parent’s house, and making cheesecake for National Cheesecake Day. We had fun soaking in the good times in life, and we tried our best to hold our heads high, count our blessings, and have faith in our Heavenly Father during the not-so-good-times. Here is what our July looked like in 2012.
These two are the best of buddies!
Look who zonked out in his swing one day. He fell asleep while it was still swinging, and would sway back and forth with it, until I laid him back in the chair.
Needed a change (like I do about every six months), so I rearranged the living room.
Our little silly…
Look who picked up Mommy’s re-arranging of furniture passion?
Girls’ night out with Grandma! We enjoyed some yummy Mexican food at El Matador. I LOVE that place!
Right about the time things got busy and crazy at our house, and we began baby proofing.
I LOVE the foot soaker Daddy got for me for our first Christmas. Jayden is a pretty big fan himself!
Playing with the kids before one of our days at the pool!
Jayden LOVES soft things, so when this sleeping bag was laid out, he immediately had to go roll on it and snuggle it while giggling. Once he got comfortable, he decided that Casey’s head would make a great foot rest.
The night we made Thai food with Casey! It was sure yummy and fun!
This little boy has always been really social, but those social efforts sure wear him out!
Fun at my parent’s!
I am proud to say that even in my old age, I can still land a flip on the tramp!
The double rainbow we got to enjoy during and evening stroll.
This is Jayden’s favorite spot in the house. He LOVES looking out the window.
My new swimsuit and hat! I got them both at Target for just $8! My guy donated plasma so I could get them. What a guy!
Enjoying a visit from Grandma!
The “treasure” Daddy found abandoned on the side of the road while working. Ben has loved planes since he was little.
Check out the adorable bed frame my friend Heidi and her hubby Caleb gave to us for FREE!!! They even delivered it and it came with a mattress.
Check out this fun mess my cosmetic wax tipping over left. I am just glad I had it in the tote and not directly on the shelf. What a sticky mess though!
Jayden LOVES making friends at church, but Mommy is a little more fond of the treats.
Enjoying a fun dinner and game night with friends, Spencer and Tori Hanks, and their little Britlee; and Jeff and Krystal Hortin who were expecting their little girl Tayla at the time. Spencer, Jeff, and Ben were good friends growing up.
After swimming one day, we celebrated Nathan’s Birthday! Cami helped with the cake again. Isn’t it perfect for Nathan?
Jayden LOVES when Daddy gets home from work and plays with him!
My two studdlies! Doesn’t Ben look great? This was the picture I took of him for his work profile online.
This little guy sure loves water! Bath time is the favorite time of day around here.
Then there was the day that Jayden and I were lazy and stayed in our jammies all day and just hung out and played. Sometimes you just need days like those. He especially loved playing with the new walker we got for him. I found it at Walmart already opened and returned, so I got it for 75% off!
Because what fun is the easy way when trying to get to your toy across the room?
Bedtime story time with Daddy.
Cute little piggies!
He refused to go to bed, so he joined us for our Transformer movie date night.
Raspberry cheesecake to celebrate Cheesecake Day!
