Our Fabulous Moab Vacation: Day One

Last year, we had the amazing opportunity of going to Moab with my family for a fun and fabulous vacation! My parents booked the cutest cabins ever and Ben, Jayden, and I had the time of our life surrounded by my wonderful family, and some very beautiful scenery. It has been one of my all-time favorite trips thus far! It was perfect going in September, because it was sunny and perfect without being super hot. After making the long drive there, we started out with a nice and beautiful hike to see about five of the different arches including Landscape Arch, and then took a second hike to see Sand Stone Arch. This second hike was perfect after a long, hot hike, since it was a more of a short little walk, and the shaded sand was cool and relaxing and perfect after our day of driving and hiking. We took our shoes off and walked around in it, and it was heavenly! We ended the day with getting settled into what would be our home for our three days in Moab, ordering pizza, and watching a movie on the laptop. It was the perfect start to a wonderful family vacation!

P.S.-Be warned! I took a TON of pictures, and as much as I have cut out, there are still tons I want to use. Man, I tell ya, I am a picture taking/hoarding addict! So, I will be dividing this trip into three separate posts, one for each day we spend in Moab. I hope you enjoy all the many pictures of our trip!

Jayden thought he was pretty funny when he would cover Ben’s eyes, making the hiking fun that much more exciting in more ways than one.

Check out this cool ledge! Beautiful! The scenery was so beautiful, it inspired this kiss.

Jayden decided to take a little nap during our hike. It was not long before he was tilting right out of the backpack, so Ben carried him instead. It was at this point in time Ben found that easier than using the backpack.

My handsome rock climber and the cute work of art he created at the top. Aww! That is true love right there, folks! :)

Jayden gave everyone his famous hugs goodbye. Then it was off to our cabin to hunker down and enjoy a movie, before another fun day in Moab which is up next!
