The Famous Lights at Temple Square

One week in December of 2008 Ben and I decided to go to Temple Square for our weekly date night. It was nice to get all dolled up after a long week dressing like a man for work at the wood shop. I even wore a pair of the pearl earrings Ben got me for Christmas. We headed down nice and early on a Saturday and hit up the Gateway Mall to enjoy some window shopping and then grabbed some yummy food at Cracker Barrel before heading to the main event-Temple Square. It was quite an adventure. We got very lost trying to find the restaurant. It took a good hour! We had fun anyway, blasting the music, singing, talking and laughing and just when we were about to give up and go somewhere else…we found it! Let me tell you-it.was.worth.it. That place is yummy! It worked out as far as not having much time for Temple Square because it ended up being super cold and we did not end up staying long.

I love the ambiance of the Gateway Mall. The experience this trip came complete with this little guy in the Victoria Secret display window-probably the cutest thing about the display.

My first time at Cracker Barrel-Ben’s choice-I approved-BIG time!

Onto the main event-finally!

Temple Square was fun and gorgeous as usual, but boy was it freezing this trip! We stayed all about 20 minutes before retreating back to the warm car. We made those 20 minutes count though and had a wonderful time!

I did not mind having a good excuse for cuddling up to this cute boy, that is for sure!
