We had an absolute blast last year for our first fourth of July with Jayden and Caleb. From parades, to hot dogs, to swimming at the lake, to the fair, to the hypnotist show, to watching skydivers and the flag ceremony, to playing in snow (yes, you read that right-snow), to ending it all with an awesome firework show, we had SO MUCH FUN! I will have to say though, Jayden was a much bigger fan of the swimming than Caleb was, but our little puppy was a trooper! I LOVE the fourth of July and celebrating all the freedoms we enjoy that I am so grateful for.
We did not camp out the night before with Jayden and Caleb, and also living so close now, but we made it for the tail end of the parade! This celebration is pretty popular and the canyon was packed, so we were a little late.
Hanging out and eating lunch at Grandma’s!
Aren’t we attractive? Ha ha! We had a little fun goofing off with my aunt’s mask. Sad story though, my aunt and uncle’s house flooded (washer pipe broke while they were on vacation), so she had to move all of their belongings into their big shed.
All ready for some fun in the sun at Pineview Reservoir. This is becoming a family tradition of ours. We LOVE it!
It was Caleb’s first time swimming, and he was a little apprehensive about it. Apparently we need to take him more often, because he was still scared this year too.
Jayden LOVED the water-as always. This was his first time swimming.
Little buddies!
Enjoying the hypnotist show, before watching the sky divers come down.
The flag ceremony. My Uncle even got to represent the Air Force.
And who doesn’t love seeing some nice cold snow on a hot 4th of July? It was Caleb’s first time dealing with snow and he was pretty cute playing it.
It was a happy 4th of July for our little family!
