We were so filled with joy, love, and wonder those first few days home as a new family of three (other than those long sleepless nights, but lets face it these cute babies are SO worth it). It was a time of a lot of adjustments, but we would not have traded those adjustments for the world…okay, maybe for a good nights sleep…no, not even that. We fell more and more in love with Jayden every single day. He was our little miracle, and we had never felt more grateful or blessed in all our lives. I will never forget those first moments together with Ben and our sweet and perfect baby. We love you so much, Jayden!
Ben was such a good Daddy. He is also an amazing husband and helped out that weekend while I rested and took it easy. It was AMAZING!
The binkie lasted a day. It was just too hard with his cleft lip. The good news was we did not have to wean him off of it later.
This was the only way Jayden would sleep for the first few nights. The only downside, I was too busy watching to make sure he was okay to get any sleep myself.
During the day when we would try to keep him awake in between naps, he would pull the blanket over his face and sleep anyway. Stinker! At least he was resourceful and can figure out how to make the most of things.
Of course those long nights did have their perks, like cuddling this sweet little guy!
