The beginning of 2012 was busy with Jayden’s surgery and the doctor’s visits that came with it, and with all the many family and friends that came to visit after his surgery. It was also busy because we were in the process of buying our first home (finally)-yay! We definitely experienced a rollercoaster of emotions those first 6 weeks of 2012. There was excitement and fear and sadness and happiness all rolled up into such a short time. As with any other month, we also made time for plenty of fun with family and friends! Our happiest moments in life are those that are shared with our loved ones.

A fun day in Provo with one of my besties, Sarah Gwynn. We had a lot of fun and I even tried my first Peruvian food! It was SO good! When we went to grab food, we ran into an elder from Sarah’s mission. The world seemed to get even smaller when I found out he was engaged to Michelle Ferry, my friend from High School, who was in Madrigals with me. It really is a small world after all. We ended the day the best way possible-with some delicious gelato!
Cami came and watched Jayden while Ben and I went out.
First time trying baby cereal. He was not too impressed and refused to touch it again for a couple more months.
Game night with Matt and DeNeige!
Jayden got pretty into the game.
After the game, we posed as the characters the adjectives we got described us to be. Matt was, well “unique” (which just suits him), DeNeige was the perfectly described” girl on her period”, I was the “global corporate tough business girl” and Ben was the “shy and geeky flirt”. It was such a good night that brought many laughs!

And just like that, Ben was ready for battle!
Dinner and games with Ryan, Karina, and their puppies, that ended up being pretty obsessed with Ben.
We crowned Jayden “King of Cranium” by the end of the night.

You just have to love changing your baby’s diaper on the go!
Hitting up a regional dance (at the same stake house Ben and I met for the first time, and where we had our reception) with my parents. It was a pretty spur of the moment thing, so I borrowed some of Cami’s clothes. It was such a fun night!
Jayden would just sit and stare at me like this while I would get things done around the house. It was so cute! Although, he did often end up distracting me from many things needing to get done.
A bath in the sink at Grandma and Grandpa’s!
Then snuggling until he fell asleep. It has never taken long after a bath.
Pre-bedtime bottle. Don’t mind the messy room we were packing up to move.
