The Super Fun Ostler Family Menu: The Beginning of a New Family Tradition

So, I don’t about all you other mommies out there, but one of the most tedious tasks to me is putting together a weekly menu for my family. Tonight while I was putting together a menu for the next couple of weeks, Ben and I came up with a fun new idea for our family, that we plan on making a tradition for years to come! I am pretty excited about it, and just thought I would share. All meals will be prepared with the healthiest of ingredients (excluding Fridays, of course, which will be our splurge day). So here it is! The Super Fun Ostler Family Weekly Menu!

Sundays:
“Special Sit-down Sunday” So, for our first meal of the week, we will enjoy a special  and formal meal as a family on the Sabbath day. Who doesn’t love a yummy Roast Beef Sunday dinner complete with mashed potatoes and rolls? Yes, please! We will of course be switching the roast beef up with various Sunday dinners.
Sunday Dinner
Mondays:
“Marinara Monday” May also be known as “Italian Night”, where we will indulge in a scrumptious Italian dish!
Monday dinner
Tuesdays:
“Taco Tuesdays” This will be the night we feature a spicy and fun Mexican dish for our “Mexican Night”!
Tuesday dinner
Wednesdays:
“Waffle Wednesdays” We will be celebrating making it half-way through the work/school week with a yummy “Breakfast for Dinner” night!
Wednesday dinner
Thursdays:
“Tossed Thursdays” This will be our “Soup and Salad Night” where we enjoy a lite, fresh, and tasty meal!
Thursday dinner
Fridays:
“Fast Food Fridays” For our end-of-the-work/school-week celebratory dinner, we will be indulging in a little “Fast Food at Home Night”.  From homemade fries and burgers, to pizza, to whatever! This night will also be the perfect dinner for the kiddos at home, while Ben and I spend an evening out together for our date night. What babysitter doesn’t love an easy meal of frozen fries and fish sticks they can just pop in the oven? Perfect-o!
Friday dinner
Saturdays:
“Stir-fry Saturday” So, for our last meal of the week, we will be enjoying a yummy and exotic Oriental Dinner for our “Oriental Night”!

We are pretty excited about this new tradition, and for once, I am actually looking forward to planning the family menu for the week! Yay! Hopefully this will also be a fun tradition for our children.
